EADS Secure Networks North America announced the appointment of Sunny Taylor as the company’s President and CEO.
Taylor has been actively involved in the communications industry for the past 15 years, and previously served as a senior legislative staff member in the U.S. Congress.
EADS Secure Networks North America is a systems provider of mission critical, interoperable communications solutions, and is a part of EADS Secure Networks – the second largest provider of public safety radio communications worldwide.
“Sunny Taylor brings a full range of homeland security communications experiences and capabilities to her new executive role, including business development, sales, marketing and operations,” said EADS North America Chairman and CEO Ralph D. Crosby, Jr. “Sunny will be responsible for leveraging the extensive capabilities of EADS in support of U.S. homeland security, public safety and first responder communications requirements.”
Taylor previously was President and CEO of fSONA, a Washington, D.C.-based manufacturer of high-capacity optical wireless communication systems. She also served as fSONA’s Vice President of Sales for North America, with responsibility for leading sales activities in the market, as well as for all federal and military accounts.
Prior to joining fSONA in October 2001, Taylor was Vice President of Sales in the U.S. and Canada for P-Com, Inc., a manufacturer and integrator of broadband wireless equipment headquartered in the San Jose, California area.
Taylor previously served on the legislative staff of former Florida Congressman Daniel A. Mica.
She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Simon Fraser University and a Master of Arts from The University of Texas at Austin.
